GM Ser,
Pudgy Penguins Get New Leadership
Following the demise of prior PP leadership as the team was ousted by community votes, it seems the digital birds are seeing a beacon of light ahead after a $2.5M sale.
The project will be under the new direction of venture capitalist and Penguins holder himself, Luca Netz. He said that the Pudgy Penguins were his first NFT purchase and that they “emit joy” because of how cute they are.
Due to rumors of the Penguins heading towards a closing deal, their stock went up. According to CoinDesk, their price went as high as 2.5 ETH.
Since Pengu’s have seemed on the up and up, people are now wondering about a coin for the community. Netz said it’s in the works, but not something he’s wanting to tackle just yet.
Another Crypto CEO Not a Fan of NFTs
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao is joining the ranks of Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin in a distaste for NFTs.
Concerning the NFT craze, Zhao says it’s “bonkers” and that people have “lost their minds.” But regardless of what even he thinks of the NFT space, he says, “they cannot be ignored.”
He said they “allow artists to monetize their work globally again…and reach a much wider audience… Some guy in Singapore can pay $69 million for your art.”
In a move that is being hailed as a game changer for the entertainment industry, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the launch of the WB Movieverse with The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Extended Version) Web3 Movie Experience NFT. This groundbreaking new release will allow fans to engage with the film in ways never before possible!
