GM Ser,

NFT Vending – All That and a Bag of Chips

Forget gum, forget soda, NFTs now run the vending machine show. At least, one machine in New York City does.

Run on down to John Street near Broadway down in the Financial District and purchase yourself an NFT. The machine takes both debit and credit and gives buyers a little box with a QR code inside. Once the code is scanned, the NFT will show up and tell you what you’ve purchased.

Neon, the company behind the NFT vendie, is hoping to make NFTs accessible to everyone. The machine has already been sold out and restocked.

Who Let the Doggies Out?

Rapper, entrepreneur, and all around fan favorite Snoop Dogg has announced the release of his NFT collection “The Doggies.”

The collection includes 10,000 avatars that are playable inside the metaverse, all created by the Dogg himself. The avatars “are programmatically generated, voxelated NFTs featuring over 150 traits.”

The Doggies will have seven rarity types: Human, Blue, Alien, Zombie, Dogg, Robot, and Golden with 2/3s of the collection being standard and the rest uniquely designed to stand out.

Has Ja Rule Escaped His Fyre Festival Legacy?

I don’t know about you, but the first time I remember hearing about Ja Rule was amidst the unearthly scandal and nightmare that was the 2017 Fyre Festival. A music festival gone so awry, looking back it had the makings of a 2020 disaster.

One name tied to the failed event was rapper Ja Rule, popular circa late 90s, early 2000s. Now five years post Festival, Ja Rule is reinventing himself once more. A committed figure in the NFT space, he has partnered with Club Cards, a collection that features the characters of other collections.

A large part of Ja Rule’s contribution to this project is to fund one lucky winner's paid trip to NYC. There’s been one winner so far, and he has had an experience in the Big Apple far better than his Fyre predecessors.

Overall, those in the digital asset space find Ja Rule to be a passionate and dedicated player in the NFT game.
