Zuckerberg Welcomes NFTs to Instagram

Just as they’ve taken over nearly every other market social media platform, it was only a matter of time until NFTs hit the photo-sharing app of Instagram. 

Mark Zuckerberg addressed the introduction of NFTs to IG when he spoke at SXSW. NFTs are on the horizon, “but over the next several months, the ability to bring some of your NFTs in, hopefully over time be able to mint things within that environment,” said the Facebook founder.

Crypto Unicorns Raise Millions Ahead of Game Launch

Developed by San-Fran based Laguna Games, the Crypto Unicorns NFT is doing very well pre-game. 

The Crypto Unicorns play-to-earn game is set to release later this month, but not without a $26M token sale. According to CoinDesk, the “[f]unds raised from token sales are held in the treasury of the Crypto Unicorn's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). Participants in the sale will play a role in the DAO’s future governance decisions.”

“We want to move away from the extractive nature of free-to-play and nurture game economies that are owned by communities to embrace the core fundamentals of owning in-game items… We've developed Crypto Unicorns from the start to be a community-run game and the completion of this token sale is a big step toward that,” said Aron Beierschmitt, CEO and co-founder of Laguna Games.
